    So it turns out Shovel Knight has a lot of cheat codes... a lot a lot... over 300 cheat codes a lot.
    So here they are:


    WSWWAEAW: Butt Mode: Any mention of numerous reoccurring words in dialogue is replaced with "Butt". (Shovel, Knight, Health, Magic, etc.)

    Start the game with a different armor



    TEIGCABP: Start with Conjurer's Coat (Purple Armor).

    ISIQCFDN: Start with Dynamo Mail (Gray Armor).

    GWFCCFHP: Start with Mail of Momentum (Black Armor).

    NRXNCIBS: Start with Ornate Plate (Gold Armor)

    URCICMLP: Start with Final Guard (Red Armor).

    Start with one relic with no magic use and regular firing rate. Other relics collected in the game are normal.



    SJPACXWH: Start with Flame Wand with unlimited ammo. However, firing rate is the same as normal.


    JBSZELSC: Start with Dust Knuckles with unlimited ammo. However, firing rate is the same as normal (again, hardly noticible with this Relic).

    KZXIVKAE: Starts game with all 46 song sheets on hand (Not returned). It seems Track 46 isn't unlocked, even with the code activated.

    JDTIYMUW: Starts game with charge hit shovel ability.

    ZXNGYVWY: Starts game with dig piles in one hit shovel ability.

    FKKLYZKU: Starts game with ground spark shovel ability.

    GVKZKDWW: Checkpoints break after one use BUG: game will crash if you respawn at an unbreakable checkpoint (like all the Plains checkpoints)

    UDBPKFFX: Invulnerability (no health lost, knockback still occurs, no protection from insta-deaths)

    IGJKKPCK: Take 4 times more damage. Seems to be the same as Code 287 and Code 320. What is different?

    QMPGLCRA: Die from one hit. Seems to be the same as Code 312. What is different?

    URPULDVW: Relics require no magic to use.

    WKQSLFWC: Relics require half the usual magic to use.

    UEPVLJGR: Relics require double the usual magic to use.

    SFZHLNLG: Boss start with 1/2 of one heart (dies in one hit)

    QWXELSUK: Boss start with half health.

    KYRNMAPC: Upon starting a boss battle, both Shovel Knight and the Boss down to 1/2 a heart. Basically, sudden death boss battles. Sudden Death boss mode

    SVHMMLYN: Blub blub blub. You're not underwater, but somehow you're still blowing little air bubbles out of your helmet!... Treasure Knight was underwater and he loved money! Who else loves money? The next bunch of codes!

    XTIQMQGE: Start with 1000 Gold.

    IFDSMQGZ: Start with 5000 Gold.

    BQAMNMPT: Start with 10000 Gold.

    XDDYNOUD: Start with 50000 Gold.

    ZNSKNTGG: Start with 99999 Gold. You're part of the 1% now, Shovel Knight.

    CXZLOHGP: Every time you begin a level with less than X amount of gold, your gold is set to X. 100 with this code.

    ADYSOYBB: Same as Code 87 but with 500 Gold.

    GYMEPHLM: Same as Code 87 but with 1000 Gold. Same as Code 87 but with 1000 Gold.

    QWNLPQDL: Same as Code 87 but with 2000 Gold.

    THVZQFLN: Same as Code 87 but with 10000 Gold.

    UCDIQWMQ: Gastronomer is missing

    KASKQYYQ: Magicist is missing

    REYTRJNG: Chester is missing (only in the village, you can still buy relics from him in stages)

    SWJSROSY: No map encounters

    QJRSSKOT: All surfaces are slippery like ice

    WOLPSNLK: Chester sells all 10 relics at the village from the start of the game partially bugged, he won't sell anything if you own all legitimate relics (Fishing Rod, Chaos Sphere, and any cleared stages)

    NVVYSZFD: Chester's prices are randomly higher (500+ in stages, 1500+ in village, max 9999)

    JLPWUFJT: Start each level with a random relic every time. Any relic bought in a level or the village is erased upon entering the next level.

    AGLHVAFR: Start each level with a random armor every time.

    HMOGVRDH: Lose all Gold upon dying. Can be recollected. Seems to be the same as Code 308.

    FZGZWEBA: Lose 50% of your Gold upon dying. Can be recollected.

    ZZIHYVDQ: Lost gold is all in 1 bag (still the normal 25%).

    MQFCYYUU: Invulnerability after hit reduced by 60% (2 sec to 0.8 sec)

    LKZJZKUS: Invulnerability after hit increased by 50% (2 sec to 3 sec)

    DGBPAFJY: Enemies always drop magic refills, same as Conjurer's Coat effect

    ECXDASGN: Enemies and damaging obstacles go through you without any damage or recoil. (insta-deaths still occur)

    UWXYBGAX: Enemies drop twice as much gold.

    BQOSCHJA: Enemies drop 3 times as much gold.

    FTNRCLNG: Enemies drop 4 times as much gold.

    NHBRCQCE: Enemies drop 5 times as much gold.

    HMJECSMB: Enemies drop 10 times as much gold.


    Codes that give you a different default armor color. The change is only cosmetic.

    XZSAZOMQ: Lose all relics upon clearing a stage

    KWETZPXR: Troupple King dances to a secret bonus track. Last track on the official NSF file linked on the OST page


    Codes that affect game physics



    AYNRZQGV: All money treasure from enemies and dig piles are in rising bubbles regardless of whether or not you're in underwater. (not blocks though)

    ZMKFBAXY: All money treasure from enemies is automatically collected upon their defeat regardless of how close you are to them when they die.

    TURJBNDR: All treasure bounces.

    AEVYCUNL: Super Jump code.

    NBCZEDMJ: Moon Jump code. Seems to be the same as Code 241. What is different?

    XRTKESBB: Downward striking enemies gives you a Super Jump bounce.

    XPRAFCFK: Downward striking enemies gives you a Moon Jump bounce.

    PIJMFJUG: Fast Movement speed

    CRGYGUKP: Super Fast Movement speed.

    RYAQGVIE: Faster on ladders

    JARXHTMF: Much faster on ladders

    TURNIGTF: Higher knockback from shovel attacks

    GAPWIIZJ: No knockback from shovel attacks

    PGPHIJJH: Fast attack speed.

    QHGOILFF: Super fast attack speed.

    OXLKJCGV: Walk on spikes.

    XZZCJNNP: Falling into pits doesn't kill you. You just stand in them with your head poking out.

    FCCKJOIQ: Pogo off any surface.

    DSHHKILX: Treasure magnetically attracted to you.

    KJWSLXLJ: High Knockback from being hit.

    ALTFMMOW: You're invisible.


    Relic enhancement



    XGTBMQVW: Alchemy Coin has no shot limit (normally 1)

    SODLMWTW: Mobile Gear has no shot limit (normally 1)

    ICGHNASB: Chaos Sphere has no shot limit (normally 2)

    WOTINLUI: Throwing Anchor has no shot limit (normally 2)

    LSZXOOOA: Flare Wand has no shot limit (normally 2)

    CXHEPCVT: Phase Locket lasts 3 times longer (6 seconds)

    CYWGROJF: Dust Knuckles move twice as far on hit

    TFTCSSSH: War Horn is much quicker but blow lasts half as long

    LTUGSVVX: Propeller Dagger moves twice as far

    VDCZTQSG: Fishing Rod is much quicker

    YGVYUWSW: Shovel Knight is 2x as big! Hitboxes for him & weapons are increased accordingly as well but his head is invincible. Giant Mode: His head clips the ceiling a lot but he won't glitch through them.

    TRGSVPPW: Shovel Knight is four times as big now! Titan Mode: Macswoley Bulkin AKA Mega Shovel Knight

    BBROWETT: Village already cleared (won't block you on map)

    QNFYYUSV: Unlimited ichor usage There doesn't seem to be a way to change ichors since they're never used up, so choose wisely

    VEGSZMPI: Iron-Man of Gaming Mode. Start at first checkpoint of Mole Knight's stage with 6 Health, 60 Mana, Dynamo Armor, Trench Blade, and 3 minutes to complete the stage. DOES NOT SAVE PROGRESS(same as official code: IM&SGC14)

    XJRZZWAK: One-hit death and no checkpoints.

    BJLHZXED: Cleared Data. Starting it will begin New Game+ with everything unlocked and fully upgraded. (except music). [similar to Code 43] Blue/Green Pumpkin disappears from save AFTER you beat the first NG+ level. CAN STILL GET FEATS after pumpkin disappears!

    AZUIAOPF: Starts New Game with Alchemy Coin, Trench Blade, and Throwing Anchor unlocked. Shovel Knight breathes bubbles and all treasure floats around in bubbles (as if underwater).Treasure Knight mode.

    DWLAAPJH: Start with 5000 Gold and Plains cleared.

    GSYZBJME: Start with 5000 Gold, 5 Hearts, Flare Wand, Phase Locket, Fishing Rod, one Chalice, and have the first two Knights' stages cleared.

    MYUGBYWX: Start with 10,000 Gold, 2nd wave of Knights' stages cleared, all stage relics up to that point, fishing rod, two chalices, and 8 hearts.

    RSUGCEOG: Start with 10,000 gold, all relics, max HP, and fully accessible map.

    EOSOUYJW: Moon Jump (both normal and downward thrust bounce) + Super Fast Speed Seems to be the same as Code 238.

    LFLXVDRF: Same as 231? Seems to be the same as Code 231.

    DVKDWHCG: Moon Jump (normal jump only) + Super Fast Speed

    AABNWHME: Super Jump (both normal and downward thrust bounce) and Fast Speed

    JFFQWOJV: Same as 234 apparently... Seems to be the same as Code 234. What is different?

    BBPOXDRR: Super Fast Speed + Basic Armor that changes colors whenever Shovel Knight is damaged (starts on random pallette as well)

    ACVGZQDS: Pogo off any surface. Normal bouncing height.

    EEHGZSSL: Pogo off any surface, high bounce (on enemies or regular surface, not blocks)


    Rainbow Armor. Taste the rainbow.



    TLZYAPLO: Armor color changes when you get hit.

    VBFDBFFG: Armor color changes when you jump or get hit

    PCNIDOFR: Armor color changes when you jump only.

    WRCJDOWG: Armor color changes when you jump, get hit, or switch screens/respawn from death.


    That one random pointless code. Because why not.

    Codes that break the game in hilarious ways and make it way harder or way easier



    YFZNRZOP: the recoil in both enemies and player is bigger

    JEKGSNJT: Really fast shovel attack (not sure how fast compared to other swing speed codes).

    STQQTXVX: Invincible, Spikes/Pits won't kill you, fast swing speed, jumping, regular movement speed that turns into running, start with all relics (except chalices),all infinite ammo rapid-fire. Oh and treasure is attracted to you.Shovel God Mode

    JRJEYIBG: Enemies do quadruple (4x) damage Seems to be the same as Code 320 and Code 73.

    HZWOYMNU: Lose ALL gold upon death instead of 25% of total (can still be recovered afterwards) (Not sure how different it is from Code 308)

    OWHFYQTW: Chester sells ALL relics from the start of the game. Seems to be the same as Code 290.

    UPSOYSRA: Seems to be the same as Code 289.

    HSDGYZMT: Start with Dust Knuckles despite file saying you have nothing. Any other effects unknown.

    QJNDZPDZ: Start with a random relic and armor (Final Guard, etc.) with a random armor color that changes on screen transition. Relic/armor items change every stage or load screen. Fiesta Mode: Combination of codes 99 and 100.

    NMHOALKO: Extrememly high movement speed, but must accelerate first.

    GEQGAROE: Shovel Knight is a giant - 4x larger than normal. Seems to be the same as Code 186.

    PNXPAVYY: Start with 10000 gold, Magicist and Chester are missing.

    RXYABXTA: Increased movement speed and much lower traction (as if running on ice, kicks up water particles when turning).

    FBRVCJUV: Drop 100% of your money upon dying. Any other effects unknown.

    HBWNCLBP: Can't die from falling in pits or touching spikes, no checkpoints."Endurance mode": No more instakills, but you have to start over if you run out of health.

    QXXFCRCA: Start with an unlimited ammo, fast-firing Flare Wand. Oh, and you're invisible too.

    KUOZCULE: Little to no invincibility frames after being hit.

    USAKCVHU: Automatic Treasure Ichor

    RLIHFVFI: Standard Shovel Attack is *much* faster.

    KYQZGLEX: Shovel Knight runs instead of walking, but dies after one hit

    CNOWICRU: Lose ALL gold upon death instead of 25% of total (can still be recovered afterwards). Seems to be the same as Code 101.

    GKWHIXJJ: you glide on normal floor, just like ice

    JNSYJKGE: The Gastronomer, Magicist and Chester are missing (Chester is still hidden inside chests)

    AMNVJKJQ: enemies give more loot

    XGBXJQHX: Die from 1 hit Seems to be the same as Code 74.

    YJWOJUBP: Another underwater mode. Treasure from enemies and piles are in bubbles. Not blocks though. SK blows air bubbles.

    ZWYRJWIE: the gastronomer is missing

    EOYALQJU: Walk through enemies without harm. Spikes still hurt though. Bosses don't hurt either.

    XTLLLTLL: Reize, Baz, Phantom Striker defeated

    MCGHMAHT: "Airplane Mode" Max Screen Height Jump. Pink Armor. Start with Propeller Dagger with infinite Magic use for it.

    RHZVMKMG: Another high-loot code. Bugs at the beginning were dropping 50 Gold instead of 5. Drop 50% Gold on death.

    PYRAMYUZ: Drop half gold on death. No checkpoints. Enemies drop a lot of loot. Even slimes give multiple red diamonds.

    TZWXNAXM: x4 damage taken
