Shadows of the Damned coming out June 7

Shadows of the Damned, the punk rock/psychological thriller collaboration between Goichi Suda (Suda51) and Shinji Mikami (Vanquish, Resident Evil 4), is getting an unexpectedly early release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 7. The June 7 release date was officially announced during a recent GDC press conference. However, since the title was first revealed during EA’s Tokyo Game Show 2010 press conference, the publisher has remained mostly silent about the project.

Shadows of the Damned follows Garcia Hotspur on a trip to hell in search of his true love. As expected, all kinds of frightening evil will stand in his way. Design for the game’s mechanics are being handled by Shinji Mikiami, while Goichi Suda takes point in regards to the title’s style and art direction. Suda's studio, Grasshopper Manufacturer, is the team behind the game.

The story sounds eerily familiar, but I'm still interested in this game. Doubt it'll be a day one buy, but after some reviews go up I'll see just how badly I need to own this game.

Looks really cool, the visuals remind me of Singularity a bit, idk why. Probably will wait until a couple reviews come up. As long as it's not the next Damnation then I think this will be a buy :D
