With Iron Fist’s new trailer hogging the spotlight and The Defenders fast approaching, Marvel’s other Netflix show this year, The Punisher, has been flagging behind in the hype stakes. There’s been nothing official (as of yet) but if you wanted to see The Punisher beat up some cops and hijack a police car then, boy, you’re in luck.
The shots, which you can see below, show a hooded Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) looking positively menacing as he stares down and dispatches one of New York’s finest with ease, whilst looking cool as all hell sliding over the police car’s bonnet.
New York has already had enough to deal with recently, what with the destruction in Harlem, killer ninjas and a brainwashing sociopath, without Frank Castle going all Hotline Miami on everyone for a second time.

The Punisher is no stranger to public displays of violence – he shot up an entire hospital in case you forgot – but he seemed to stray onto the side of the angels towards the end of Daredevil season 2.
Whatever has caused Frank Castle to go rogue again must be pretty serious because last time it took a combination of PTSD and his family being killed in front of his eyes for him to turn into The Punisher we know and love (to cower from.)

The Punisher shoots on to Netflix in late 2017.
