Sci-Fi Bargains Of The Week

In the endless reaches of the universe, there once existed a planet known as Bargainite. There came a day when giant quakes threatened to destroy Bargainite forever. One of the planet's leading scientists, sensing the approaching doom, placed his infant son in a rocket ship and sent it hurtling towards the Earth just as Bargainite exploded. The rocket ship sped through space, landing on Earth with its precious cargo: Bargainite's sole survivor. A passing SFX journalist found the child and took him in. As the years passed and the child grew up, he discovered amazing bargain-hunting powers. Cheaper than a 10p mix, lower in price than a knock-off watch, able to make huge savings in a single transaction. The infant of Bargainite is now the Man Of Bargains: Captain Coinsaver! Sworn to use his powers in a never-ending battle for the Friday SFX bargains roundup…
