Sad Pandas and Sexy Kittens are on track to invade Steelport on January 17, according to today's release date and pricing details for Saint Row: The Third's first mission-based DLC pack, Genkibowl VII.

Currently listed for 560 Microsoft Points ($7) on Major Nelson's blog, the DLC will arrive for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC next Tuesday. It will bring a handful of new challenges to Volition's open-world gangster game in the form of the Genkibowl VII event, hosted by none other than the feline mascot for the game's Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax diversion.

“A genius in entertainment and mayhem, the man-cat Professor Genki has put together the most watched game show event on TV, Genkibowl VII. But every game show needs a star contestant, and Professor Genki has chosen the leader of the Saints,” reads Volition's announcement. “With the Saints’ reputation for excessive murder and carnage, Steelport’s own Zach and Bobby (of Murderbrawl fame) will give the play-by-play commentary with their newest colleague, Tammy Tolliver.”

As trophy hunters and achievement junkies may already know from last week's update, the DLC will include family-friendly activities such as Sad Panda Skyblazing, Angry Tiger's Apocalypse Genki, Sexy Kitten Yarngasm and Professor Genki's own Super Ethical PR Opportunity. We'll let you figure out which is which in the screenshots below:

    I find this very ethical.

They completely missed the opportunity to tell their fans See You Next Tuesday. Maybe the trailer will have DLC that adds that phrase post-release?

This is what I always expected PGSERC to be, not just run in the corridors and shoot at mascots/signs.

This doesn't seem that exciting, but I have the season pass so I guess I will find out on the release date.
