RoboCop reveals first TV spot: watch now

A new TV spot for the upcoming RoboCop remake has been released online.

In the half-minute spot we are presented with a brief glimpse of the high-octane action we can expect from the film, as well as more shots of the slick new Robocop suit worn by new star Joel Kinnaman.

There is also a sighting of the updated version of the ED-209 robot that you'll probably remember from the 1987 original. Although its unclear as yet as to how many seconds you'll have to comply, let's hope it's more than 20 this time. Of course (going by the original) it may not care at all if you comply or not. Such a trigger happy machine.

The spot closes with a close up of the robotic crusader's face and the classic RoboCop catchphrase: 'Dead or alive, you're coming with me.' The reboot certainly seems to have established its own identity while still nodding to the old faithful.
