Resident Evil 6 E3 2012 trailer is full of drama

Tons of new story details in new RE6 video

Like many of us, you're no doubt looking forward to Resident Evil 6, soaking up any and all details revealed in new trailers and gameplay demos. Obviously Capcom wasn't going to let the biggest gaming convention of the year pass without showing something new for Resident Evil 6, so check out the new plot-driven trailer below.

Wow, that had almost too much to grasp on first viewing. We get a new villain, we get hints that Ada Wong might not be the big boss we thought she was, plus we get to see some dramatic interplay between all six of the leads. We can't wait for the October 2 release date when the game hits stores this year for 360 and PS3.

Well I, for one, am very excited. I mean, it looks great. Top notch. Except for, well, Leon's stuff. It looks TOO action-y and set-piece-y, and not tense and thrilling enough. i really wanted Leon's stuff to be just like in RE4, rather than 5, but I guess we can't tell till it comes out. Just to clarify, are we definitely dealing with T/G-virus zombies again no, instead of Las Plagas/ Majini? Because I'd really like to see if those overlap. And there's a shot towards the end where Leon pops out with two guns, and his eyes look kinda red. How did the 'Leon getting infected with Las Plagas' subplot in RE4 end, again?

Well I for one think this was an awesome trailer, and made me very interested in the game.

One thing is clear, Resident Evil is no longer a survival horror game.

Resident Evil stopped being a survival horror game 8 years ago.

Am i the only one who noticed you can finally shoot and move at the same time?

was it just me or did the frame rate look awful?

I can't say I'm the least bit pleased with the footage I've seen of this so far. QTE's out the ass, a weaker stimulus to the shooting than before, shitty animations, too many characters, a generic villain and too many Uncharted like set pieces. I reckon the series effectively ended with RE 4.

To be honest, with all the games shown so far at E3, RE6 was one of the lease impressive to me... maybe I need to see more. On a side note Dead Space 3 really gave my wallet a hardon.

Is..that supposed to be ironic? They looked like the same game and completely fucked over their series in the same way.

What a bullshit RE game this is going to be... All action, cinematic cutscenes, explosions and drama. And once again, a female partner. Not a hint of subtlety, horror, tension and atmosphere. Looks even worse than RE5. No thanks Crapcom.

Can I has open world Resident Evil like what Dead Island was supposed to be with all the leveling up and cool items?

Could that possibly be krauser or steve burnside as the nemesis lookalike?

Yep, Sherry is partying with the son of Wesker.

Wait. Who is that blonde chick, she sounds like Ashley from RE4. Can't tell cause everyone in this game looks very different.

    Sherry Birkin.
