RAGE: New trailer full of gameplay, pre-order bonuses detailed

Bethesda Softworks has released a brand new trailer for RAGE, which teases what appears to be an extra epic boss fight set in the Dead City area. The video offers a nice mix of footage showing off a variety of weapons, including sentry guns, shurikens, a shotgun, and a sniper rifle. The new trailer’s release was also followed by an announcement detailing the exclusive in-game items you’ll get for pre-ordering the game.

If you’re in North America and pre-order RAGE from Gamestop, Amazon.com, Steam, or Direct-to-Drive, you’ll get a Double Barrel Shotgun, Fists of RAGE, and the Rat Rod Buggy. You’ll also receive the Crimson Elite Armor.

I missed you id Software! This trailer looked tight. If you're interested in RAGE I recommend heading on over to G4tv's site to watch their interview vid: http://tinyurl.com/3hxgunp

Damn, Bethesda has been busy pumping out money to studios. There's id with Rage, Splash Damage with Brink, and now bloppity-bloop-studio-whose-name-I-forgot-that-I-could-simply-look-up-right-now-to-look-more-in-tune-with-the-gaming-industry-as-to-impress-my-peers-but-am-simply-too-lazy-to-at-the-moment with Prey 2, and not to mention their own productions, Skyrim and Fallout 4 (come on, you know it). Not really interested in this game, looks like a post Fallout 3 and Vegas rehash with a little id flavor, but ultimately just a game that nostalgic/rustic gamers like me will play in hopes of a reckless run and gun spree akin to that of the early Doom and Serious Sam games, but ultimately will find themselves hiding behind cover somewhere waiting for the blood in their eyeballs to coagulate =(

OK, NOW I want Rage. and it comes out a couple of months before Skyrim- perfectly enough time to raise more cash. Any word on the UK pre-order bonuses yet?

It looks really generic and mediocre. The death animations aren't anything wonderful, I don't think. I'm just really uninterested. Sorry, everyone.

I want to get it but at the same time I don't because everytime I hear about it someone has to compliment the "wasteland look" and I don't really care about that, I just want to know if it is fun to play. What's the point of having a sexy game if you don't have the gameplay to back it up.
