Remember when first-person shooters were all about shooting? That’s what we love about Quake Live, the no frills, free-to-play, ultra old school shooter that’s all about rocket jumping and blasting away at everything in sight. Seriously. It’s great, and it’s right here.
Above: A screenshot of you missing. Maybe if the person was playing Quake Live with a proper mouse and keyboard, he would have hit his target
But if your trigger finger is telling you that you must only play Quake multiplayer on a console, Quake Arena Arcade will be coming to Xbox LIVE on December 15. The downloadable title promises 15-player frag fests, 12 Xbox-exclusive arenas, and a new singleplayer campaign.
Quake Arena Arcade’s extras sound pretty cool. But if you’re a real Quake fan, we really think you should be playing Quake Live for free instead. In case you need a link to Quake Live's official website at www.QuakeLive.com, you can find it right here.
