According to a twitter post by New Zealand website www.buttonmasher.co.nz Sony may be working on a new WipeOut title that is set to be announced at E3 2009.
Joystiq PlayStation: "Not too long ago, we reported that a WipEout Pulse port was rumored to hit the PS2. Back then it was still intangible gossip; however now, there is substantial evidence that such a title is indeed in the works. German ratings board USK (Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle) has this PS2 port listed down in its database -- the record of which can be seen embedded in the image above.

For the fans of Wipeout, the new site for wipeout pulse has opened and features an interesting ship skin editor so you can design your own ship and import it into your game. A PLAYSTATION Network account is needed to get started.
