With Wimbledon fortnight fading from memory faster than even Tim Henman, what could cheer the hearts of tennis fans more than these first shots of the PSP version of Virtua Tennis?

Although of the classic Dreamcast game for some time, these are the first shots of the game that have been released.

And what wonders they reveal, for a quick glance at these visual delights shows the line up of superstars on offer, plus the now confirmed joys of four-player WiFi powered courting.

There is also the promise of creating your own hard hitter and building their stroke through four minigames named Blockbuster, Fruit Dash, Blocker and Balloon Smash until you are both ready to take part in the titular World Tour.

Virtua Tennis World Tour will be released for PSP in September
