Dec 3, 2007 It could well turn out that Tomb Raider Underworld is the name Eidos will slap on Lara Croft's next adventure. Reports indicate that the publisher has filed for trademark of the phrase 'Tomb Raider Underworld' with the Patent and Trademark Office. PSP - Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Eidos: We need more 'Lara's The Eidos executive thinks that the games industry needs more iconic characters to compete with movies, TV, and comics:

Industry veteran Ian Livingstone thinks that game developers need more character. The Eidos product acquisition director, speaking at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2007, told the audience that characters were extremely important not just in games, but also as intellectual properties that can then be used in other products.

PSP - Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Another Tomb Raider Movie Possibility Tomb Raider creator Ian Livingstone revealed that Paramount Pictures are considering whether to make a follow-up to 2003's The Cradle Of Life which would have Angelina Jolie playing Lara Croft once again.

Livingstone who recently completed the latest game in the series, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, said that when Paramount see how successful the new game is it will show that the world is still interested in the franchise. That could be enough for the final go ahead to be given.

Considering the high percentage of bad game to movie conversions will gamers really be looking forward to seeing Lara Croft on the big screen once again?

Eidos has revealed the release date for Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary. PC and PS2 versions of the remake will be in shops from June 1 while PSP owners looking get their hands on the small version will have to wait a little longer. PSP - Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Tomb Raider: Anniversary dated for Europe Eidos has confirmed that the PC and PS2 versions of Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be out across Europe on 1st June.

However, a date is yet to be set for the PSP game.

Eurogamer had recently been led to believe it would be out towards the end of May, but a one week slip seems too insignificant to throw coffee over people about.
