The Fast and the Furious

Also known as: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift [UK]

Drifting, tuning, racing and brutally long loading screens - not necessarily in that order

This also isn’t the game to bust out if you’re looking for much realism, as you can smash your wheels into guardrails, abutments, and other cars without causing the slightest bit of damage. If your racing style involves knocking the other guy out of the way, that approach won’t work either, as your opponents roll off your vehicular attacks like a wet noodle from a fork.

Other than the brain petrifying load times, nothing will outrage you too much about TFATF. There’s a healthy mix of drifting and racing, plus gobs of sweet cars and robust customization choices. However, there are better "underground" racers out there with comparable features, better looks, and more fun times. Hardcore drifters and tuners may want to check it out, but if words like “oversteer” and “manji” aren’t in your vernacular, it’s probably best to keep on driving by this one.

You'll love
  • Lots of sweet rides
  • Super-deep customizations
  • Tuning your car just right
You'll hate
  • Brutal load times
  • "Been there, done that" feel
  • So-hip-it's-a-joke narrator
