Joystiq: Are you one of the few that still need new content on your PS2? Looks like Sony may be reaching into the depths of its PSP archive to find more ports to bring to the aging console. The ESRB has appended its rating for Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow -- the latest (and arguably greatest) entry in Sony's stealth franchise -- with both PSP and PS2 as the listed platforms.
WorthPlaying contacted SCEA to find out if it planned to match the PSPgo Rewards program announced by SCEE this morning and was told that Sony had no plans at this time to match the European offer. There hasn't been any announcement yet that there will be an equivalent rewards program for North America...

Later today, DC Comics will be hosting a live chat with Greg Rucka to talk about his experience working on the script for Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. Greg has been a highly respected author penning nearly a dozen novels including the Queen & Country series, stories for Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman, and most recently he published the sixth novel in the Atticus Kodiak series, Patriot Acts. The newest Game Informer has just landed in stores in America and this months' issue contains some very interesting reviews of all the coming and available games. Games like Halo 3, Half Life 2: Orange Box, PGR4, Mass Effect, Syphon Filter, Ace Attorney, DiRT, Ace Combat 6, NBA Live 08, NBA 2K8, NBA 08 have all been reviewed in this months' edition. Most noticeable scores are for Halo 3, Mass Effect and Orange Box, which have all received reviews of 9.75 given by two different editors. Ace Combat 6 and PGR 4 also did very well with a 9- for Ace Combat and a 9+ for PGR4. Syphon Filter for PSP did very well with a 9-. Chris Reese the technical director for SCEA's Bend studio in Oregon, the developer of the Syphon Filter franchise says: We're working hard on the next chapter in the series, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow for PSP, but I wanted to take some time to give a glimpse into how the PSP's recently expanded processor speed (333MHz) will help us deliver a look and feel that wasn't possible under the previous 266MHz limit. For Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, our concentration was developing an engine that could produce stunning PSP visuals, allowing for significant detail in the environments. For Logan's Shadow, we naturally wanted to push the detail even further with our focus turning towards interactivity within those environments.
