This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending December 3rd, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart.

This week's top five all-platform requests show little movement once again, after last week saw the list barely ruffled. Assassin's Creed still takes the top spot for a third week with Mass Effect in second for its second week in a row.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which spent the last two weeks at number four, slips a bit to the fourth spot to make room for Kane and Lynch: Dead Men to move up one spot into the fourth spot, but that's the only movement -- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune stays at number five, where it entered last week.

LucasArts has revealed that for the US launch party of Renegade Squadron on October 9th (to be held at the PlayStation store at the Metreon in San Francisco, if you're in the area), gamers should expect a host of prizes, special goodies and events.

However, of particular interest to Star Wars fans, no doubt, are the special Han Solo in Carbonite PSP cases to be given to the first 200 purchasers of the Star Wars Battlefront Entertainment Pack.

"My name is Jeff Pena and I'm one of the producers for Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron over at LucasArts. We've been working really hard with the folks at Rebellion to make a great game worthy of the Star Wars Battlefront name, and it's almost showtime - though it's hard to believe it's so soon, the game goes on sale this Tuesday, October 9th! Which leads me to why I'm posting here. As you're also probably aware, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron will be bundled with the Star Wars Battlefront Entertainment Pack that will also be released on October 9th. For $199, you get a copy of the game and a sweet new white PSP with a silkscreen of Darth Vader on the back. This is the only way you're going to be able to get this PSP, folks! If you're in the San Francisco metro area, you may want to head to the Sony Metreon for the Star Wars Battlefront launch party. The festivities start next Tuesday at 6PM. LucasArts is promising tons of prizes, such as the Han Solo carbonite case -- free for the first 200 people that purchase the new PSP bundle. If you come in costume, you'll get a chance at winning a Darth Vader lightsaber replica. Of course, with tons of people expected to show up, there'll undoubtedly be tons of opportunities for some local wi-fi multiplayer as well.

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron lead designer Mike Rosser talks about the evolution of the PSP title's story narrator Col Serra. Col Serra is an old friend of Han Solo during his smuggling days, and has very few appearances in the series making it almost totally up to Rebellion Developments to come up with the character's look.
