Spider-Man 2 swings on to PSP

Latest screens of the scaled-down web-slinger

Spider-Man is back - again - and this time he's pocket-sized. Predictably impressive new shots of the PSP version of Spider-Man 2, that have been released today, give us a glimpse of what publisher Activision promises will be the "most realistic Spider-Man experience on a handheld platform".

Indeed. This time round, Spidey is protecting Manhattan from the nefarious Doc Ock via the medium of swinging, jumping and wall-crawling through 19 new levels.

Other villains you have to face include Mysterio, Rhino, Shocker and Vulture. Luckily, you'll have a host of new moves to help you out including cocoon, web net and the ominous-sounding heavy web ball.

Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to be a PSP launch title
