Sega Genesis Collection - updated hands on

Yeah, they're old. But they can still whup your ass, sonny boy

With the releases of the PS3 and Wii dwarfing just about everything else happening with videogames, it’s easy to forget that there are games for other platforms. Sega, however, is doing its part to keep the dream alive by choosing this rather questionable time to re-release a PSP collection of 28 games originally released between 1989 and 1996 for the Sega Genesis.

Sonic I and II are the mascots of the collection. If you don’t know who Sonic is, you won’t remember any other game in the collection. Despite having only a jump button (or three identical jump buttons, actually), they are still, in many ways, up to speed with their modern counterparts.  Other memorable titles available in the collection are Golden Axe I, II, and III, Shinobi III, Shadow Dancer, and the Echo series.
