Sega is to release Sega Mega Drive Collection for PSP, which, as the title suggests, is a collection of Mega Drive games in one simple package.

There will be over 30 classic games that first appeared on Sega's 16-bit console squeezed on to one UMD and the line-up will include Altered Beast, Sonic the Hedgehog, Shinobi III, Phantasy Star and Golden Axe.

Many of the games will make use of PSP's wireless connectivity so gamers can team up or play against their mates.

No UK release date has been announced yet but it will hit US stores - where it will be called Sega Genesis Collection - this autumn.
