As we revealed earlier this week, a sequel to Namco&#39;s sideways-shifting Ridge Racer is on its way to PSP. And now, not only has Sony confirmed that Ridge Racer 2 will be out in the UK by the end of the year, but it has also sped over a tasty selection of shots from the game.

Under the bonnet of the latest version of the beautiful looking mover will be new cars, new racing modes and almost twice as many tracks as its predecessor. Ridge Racer will be returning to PSP in September - for Japanese gamers, at least - with the obviously titled Ridge Racer 2.

The Namco racer has proved to be a big hit on the handheld, so much so that the Japanese developer has selected the best tracks from previous Ridge Racers to feature in the game.

Ridge Racer 2 has 42 tracks selected from such games as Ridge Racer 4, the original PSone game and Ridge Racer Revolution.
