Ridge Racer will be returning to PSP in September - for Japanese gamers, at least - with the unsurprisingly titled Ridge Racers 2.

The racer has proved to be a big hit on the handheld, so much so that developer Namco has selected the best tracks from previous Ridge Racer titles to feature in the game.

While it hasn't yet been announced for a US release, Ridge Racers 2 will have 42 tracks, selected from such games as Ridge Racer 4, the original PSone game and Ridge Racer Revolution. There will also be a total of 62 cars to choose from, and 42 songs to listen to while tearing around the tracks.
