Ridge Racer will be returning to PSP in September - for Japanese gamers, at least - with the obviously titled Ridge Racer 2.

The Namco racer has proved to be a big hit on the handheld, so much so that the Japanese developer has selected the best tracks from previous Ridge Racers to feature in the game.

Ridge Racer 2 has 42 tracks selected from such games as Ridge Racer 4, the original PSone game and Ridge Racer Revolution. There is also a total of 62 cars to choose from and a soundtrack of 42 songs to listen to while burning round the tracks.

With a UK release yet to be confirmed, we'll keep a close on this and get you more details as they race in.
