Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - updated hands-on

The popular platform pair is going portable, but they're still packing plenty

Also available in multiplayer is a match type called Iron Lombax, which features different mission-based multiplayer objectives for each of the four maps. One stage has you destroying bases by grabbing homing beacons to attract hover mines; light cones and arrows help you stay on target, and it's just different enough to draw interest.

Can a portable game be a legitimate sequel to a console superstar? More and more games are making good arguments - Daxter, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops spring to mind. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is poised to be the next breakout handheld hero, so we'll see if it can live up to its legacy in the coming months.
