D3Publisher has announced its plans to release Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords to Wii, PS2, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and mobile devices.  The prospective release date for Wii, PS2, and mobile versions has been set to early 2008, while XBLA will be having crazed Puzzle Quest fanatics downloading in just a few months.

“The gaming community has offered such warm support and we are elated to open the game up to more fans by offering new ways to play,” said Steve Fawkner, lead designer and chief executive officer of Infinite Interactive, the creators of Puzzle Quest.

This uniquely designed RPG combined with puzzle boards and strategy amuses both the casual and hardcore gamer.  Think of Bejeweled but with cute characters that skill up and blast through using magic.  Through single and multiplayer modes, players can level, strengthen magic, open new creature companions, and more.

Puzzle Quest is currently available on DS and PSP.  Can’t wait to see if they’ll implement Wii’s capabilities on this already entertaining package.
