Sony silences PSP homebrewers

First it was a case of simple discouragement for the growing PSP homebrew underground - now they have been kindly told to shut the hell up.

That's right, a SCEA representative over at PlayStation.com has had enough of all this illicit chitter-chatter and banned any discussion of homebrewing on the official forums in this post.

It seems odd, considering that nearly every console has homebrew loopholes, that Sony is so ardent to discourage such activity on theirs. What could they possibly be afraid of? There are plenty of unofficial forums for this kind of thing, but when your handheld is being spanked by the DS trying to foster a community spirit is exactly what they should be doing.
