A new run of the Game On exhibition - the interactive (that is, playable) history of videogames that first ran back in 2002 at London's Barbican - will be opening on 21 October at London's Science Museum.

Now graciously sponsored by Nintendo, despite featuring many of its competitors, this new-and-improved Game On will allow you to get an eyeful of the whopping great machine (no, not a PS3) that ran the world's very first videogame, before carrying onwards through more than thirty years of gaming.

If the thought of all that retro, rare and prototype plastic isn't enough encouragement, the look of this year's show has been spruced up with contributions from artist Jon Burgerman - hipsters among you will remember Burgerman provided one of the too-cool-for-school Omega Pack tracks for Wipeout Pure.
