it looks good, however i cant help but feel its just an easy cash in for sony, just like the DSI was for, essentially pointless but adding one or two new features. think i will stick to my current psp and wait for psp2 nintendo

I'm sorry but paying an extra 100 quid for for a smaller screen and worse compatability is the dumbest thing i've ever seen.
No second analogue stick/nub either so its a total waste of time and space.

Oh and the poor reaction to it has prompted rumor that Sony are pushing to get the psp2 into production faster (my guess is 2011).

Look!
Isn't she playing Gran Turismo from the PS1?
It sure looks like!

Looks more like destruction derby from the playstation network to me than Gran Turismo.

Cant see the point in upgrading from my original psp if theres no performence improvement!

ill just buy a normal one first and wait til they put demos for the go in stores to trade up if i like it
GamesRadarNathaniel  - 3 months 24 days ago
Yeah cyberninja, i'd just buy the regular one, this one screams DS to me.And that woman was really annoying.

So skip to 1:45 to actually hear her brief OH SO brief review of one part of the system, the rest of course is just a run down of the tech spec's which hardly count as a review. I didn't hear one word about whether it's worth it or not. Whether the fourth edition of this system was merited and yet they call this a review (for the record I have a PSP-1000 and use it for holding down papers).

If this is their idea of competition for iPhone and SmartPhone gaming, they fail horribly. Missing the one key competition component; the "phone" part. Sure, I love my PSP, but I love it on road trips and only because it's stuffed like Kirby with NES, SNES Roms and PS1 games. Why would I go buy something else to carry around when it has almost no functionality outside of WiFi? They should have focused on partnering with a major carrier as an option for anyone wanting to take advantage of true convenience.

I think marketing a wifi-download only system will be a huge turn off for a lot of people, since not everyone has wireless internet and a fast enough router/connection to have their games in a decent amount of time. Maybe in the next few years that will change but I don't see this doing anyone but Sony and the environment a favor by saving production of UMDs.

totally osm I cant wait 4 downloadable games

When dose it come to america. Because if it is still around october I will just ask for it for my birthday.

First off, it looks very small. A little too small to be holding in my opinion.

Second, I hate the slide feature. Everything looks too tight, like they tried to squeeze in all the buttons.

Third, what the heck? No UMD discs? Imo, that's really lame. I buy most of my games from Gamestop, because the used ones are of fine quality, and they are cheaper. With no discs though, anyone who has that, is at the mercy of the Sony Stores prices.

Fourth, it's overpriced in my opinion.

Also, she says the screen is 3.8 inches, as you would have on the other PSPs. But actually, the PSP 3000 screen is 4.3 inches according to this site:

Thanks for reading my rant :P

Ugh, for some reason it really pisses me off how she's holding that PSP, just shoving her fingers all over the screen.
Anywho, I think it's cool conceptually, but seeing how highly priced it is and how you can't use UMDs at all kinda takes my interest from it. I'm glad it's not replacing the 3000, and is just selling alongside it.
Besides, I love my hacked PSP-2000 too much to replace it :P

eh, its ok. i have the first psp and that made me only wanna keep it longer
InnocentBud  - 3 months 21 days ago
what is the Bluetooth used for??

I think there is no reason to get this because you could just buy a bigger memory stick duo and still be able to play UMDs. It is only exciting because it is new "technology".
