Being one of the few hugely devoted Simpson's fans that religiously watches back to back episodes on cable TV every night, buys the box sets and regularly attempts to defend the recent series lack of form on the pretence they usually have at least one laugh out loud Homer moment, we've been rooting for a decent Simpsons game for years.

Opoona - Wii
A very unusual little game for the Wii that combines community and relationship-building elements with a traditional RPG - a bit like, say, Animal Crossing but with a proper adventure to work through. Even better is the way it uses the Wiis Remote and Nunchuck, allowing you to move with the analog stick and battle by swinging the remote.

It's no secret that first-person shooters are tough to do properly on PSP, thanks to a rather limited control scheme. So we're not surprised that developer Guerilla thought long and hard about how best to recreate its fps hit Killzone, originally a PS2 title, for the PSP. What did surprise us, in a very pleasant way, was the solution Guerilla came up with - switching to an isometric, third-person view - and how well the resulting game plays after such a drastic overhaul.
