Silconera writes: PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe was just the beginning. Sony Computer Entertainment America is planning to re-release some first party titles into stores and sell them for a mere $9.99. A script for an upcoming TV commercial has the news and mentions some of the titles. Hot Shots Golf, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo, and Twisted Metal: Head On are shown in a video montage.

During March Q-Games announced that PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe for the PSP would be available on UMD on the 27th of April. However, Sony has since revealed that the game will be coming in at a much lower price point than previously stated.

Joystiq: For that cross-section of the PSP audience that likes both PixelJunk Monsters and tangible objects, Q-Games's Dylan Cuthbert has announced a UMD release of PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, due to launch in North America at participating retail outlets on April 27 for $19.99. The tower defense title has been available digitally since last fall.

Examiner: PixelJunk Monsters is one of the best selling Playstation Network games on the Playstation 3. Unfortunately, the PSP version, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, isn't finding the same success due to the high piracy rates.

Sony only released PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe as a PlayStation Network download in North America. In Asia it's a retail game too. PixelJunk Monsters UMD Limited Edition went on sale in South Korea for 20,000 won ($17). It's the same game, just on a disc with a cell phone strap as a goodie.

However the PS3 is still getting plenty of content, namely a few demos and a few downloadable games. Also don't forget to to download the Uncharted 2 demo, which is available in the PS Store now.
