PSP News | Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception
It's a good time to be an Ace Combat fan. The sixth game in the series, The Belkan War, hits the PlayStation 2 next week, and there's already more good news on the horizon. Namco Bandai has announced the tentatively titled Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception for the PSP, to be released this fall. Ace followers already know that the series is the flight game to beat - nail-biting dogfights, sci-fi twists and authentic, licensed airplane action have made each entry a mid-air cluster of adrenaline. ...

PSP News | Activision Hits Remixed
Publisher Activision is digging into its library once again this Halloween with Activision Hits Remixed, a PSP compilation of more than 40 classic Atari 2600 games. We've just received a handful of new screens for the collection; showing classics such as Pitfall, River Raid and Atlantis, they're… well, they're Atari 2600 screens, albeit "remixed" for the PSP's wide screen. Luckily, Remixed is more than just a collection of relatively ancient (if still enjoyable) games - while the titles ...

PSP - Adventures to Go - Why Would A Publisher Want To Release A GameStop Exclusive Game? Spencer at Siliconera - A reasonable question since greater retail distribution should yield more sales. And yet, a selection of niche titles are only available at GameStop.

By the end of this month, Natsume will have shipped two GameStop exclusives this year, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (the Wii version) and Adventures to Go.

Why did Natsume go this route? I asked Graham Markay, Vice President of Operations at Natsume, to elaborate the benefits of being a GameStop exclusive.

PSP - Adventures to Go - Retail Scoop: New Releases Week of September 22, 2009 In affiliation with Amazon.com, TripleChat is happy to bring you the new releases each week for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable.

Along with new game releases they will also highlight the top five bluray releases each week that they feel will best suite movie and TV show fans alike. This is region specific to North America.

This week TripleChat notices there is a slight drought this week in quality titles, perhaps from the release of a particular game...rhymes with J-Lo. Nonetheless the selection is decent depending on what you want to buy. Namco is releasing (they hope) the new Katamari game this week, after pushing it up a week last week and now setting it back to its original release date. Rock Band has a new track pack and Persona comes to the PSP!

On the bluray side of things, it's a good week to be a Trekkie as the second season and "The Next Generation" make their blu debut at some excellent pricepoints. Other releases include a couple of Simon Pegg hits, as well as the latest (and final) season of Terminator.

PSP - Adventures to Go - PlayStation @ E3 2009 - The Games PlayStation LifeStyle writes, "In just over a week, PlayStation LifeStyle will be reporting live from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). We've been trying to get a handle on the plethora of PlayStation games that will be on display from June 2 through June 4, and it's quite astounding. If you weren't excited about the prospect of new announcements for the PlayStation brand, what if we told you there will be over 75 unique PlayStation games on display - that we know about?! While many are multiplatform titles (though the best still appear to be Sony-exclusive), it is a large increase from last year's showing."

PSP News | After Burner: Black Falcon
It struck us as kind of weird when we first heard that publisher Sega had handed off its classic After Burner franchise to Planet Moon, the oddball developer behind Infected, Armed and Dangerous and Giants: Citizen Kabuto. And now we've seen the result of that decision: cow-themed jet fighters with giant, milk-spraying udders. Granted, the cow jets are just part of After Burner: Black Falcon's "Mad Cow" deathmatch mode, in which one player becomes the Mad Cow (hence the new paintjob) and ...
