There are difficult games and then there are difficult games. I'm not talking difficulty that you can manage at some point(s), like God of War or Ninja Gaiden (Xbox). I'm talking about difficulty that causes you to physically abuse… well, everything in plain sight.

Ghosts 'n Goblins is one of those games that tests your patience and hasty reflexes as you battle your way through zombies, demons, boogeymen, and whatever the hell else the game throws at you, in an attempt to – get ready for this people – rescue a princess. I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of you out there are familiar with this NES classic and will be glad to read that the Ultimate version – which was released on UMD disc for the PSP in 2006 – will be available on PSN… for the PSP… for a second time (only this time, it's a download).

We've got the latest shots of a Capcom contribution to PSP in form of Extreme Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, a revamped version of its classic 2D action game, directed by the original's creator Tokurou Fujiwara. Capcom has confirmed that it is to release Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins for PSP this summer, and has sent over a lovely selection of spooky screens. WorthPlaying writes, "Unbound Saga is a 3D side-scrolling brawler set in a satirical comic book universe, where enemies are drawn onto the screen and madcap battles travel from panel to panel through a post-apocalyptic landscape. Break off a weapon and rage off the page!
Released in July, Unbound Saga might be coming to Xbox Live Arcade as a build showed up on Partnernet, and although it crashes, it did also have 12 achievements, indicating Vogster's brawler might be getting ported."

Tecmo Releases Two Games in One Day (Undead Knights)

It's not horribly often that one video game publisher would release two different titles in one day, but on Tuesday, Tecmo announced today the release of both Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on PlayStation 3 and Undead Knights on the PSP. The latest installment in the critically acclaimed series, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, has been released in North America, followed by Japan and Europe on October 2nd, 2009. The gut-wrenching, limb amputating, hack-n-slash zombie action game Undead Knights also releases in North America and today, followed later by a digital download release to play on the PSP go.

In affiliation with Amazon.com, TripleChat is happy to bring you the new releases each week for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. Along with new game releases they will also highlight the top five bluray releases each week that they feel will best suite movie and TV show fans alike.

Remember last week? Remember how uneventful it was? Well guess what, that's over this week. While game wise the selection is about the same on the PS3 and PS2 – this week it is all about the PSP Go. Oh yes, after just a few short months of waiting since E3, the PSP Go launches this week (October 1 to be exact)! Included this week in their special PSP Go Launch Center are the two big releases this week for both the Go and PSP 1000-3000 and those are Gran Turismo and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge.

On PS3 the biggest release this week is the sequel to Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Slated originally as a 360 exclusive (as was the predecessor), the sequel comes to us with more features, better graphics, and maybe even more cleavage!

On the bluray side of things the biggest release this week is the 70th Anniversary Collector's Edition of The Wizard of Oz. Outside of taking a stroll down the yellow brick road, they have two animated flicks for you – one featuring Monsters and Aliens, the other featuring Superman and Batman. To finish it there is a 2003 remake of a classic coming to high def for the super low price of $10 and one of the better independent films of 2009!
