Ars Technica reports: "WALL-E, aside from probably being the biggest family movie of the year, is also making waves in the video game industry by being the first localized video game to hit the current generation of consoles in the Middle East. THQ and Pluto Games revealed that the movie's tie-in game will actually have versions released in Arabic in an effort to appeal to gamers around the region."
PSP Fanboy: "God of War: Chains of Olympus is on its way to Japan on July 10. To help get the game into the minds of PSP gamers -- and peel them away from Monster Hunter -- a special event was held last Friday in Tokyo. There were 15 booths where people could try out the game, tons of free swag such as keychains and t-shirts, and specially crafted drinks made from goat blood, harpy milk, and cyclops sweat were served. Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core has finally been released in Europe, after quite a long wait.
SCEE president David Reeves has admitted that while piracy on PSP "is a problem", it can fuel hardware sales.
The piracy and homebrew scene has thrived on PSP since hackers busted the console's protection software wide open just months after its 2004 release.
