Wait 'til Emergence Day Rumors have been circulating about a Gears of War demo on Xbox Live Marketplace for awhile now - especially since Microsoft UK put up an image that seemed to confirm it. Developer Epic Games Vice President, Mark Rein, has charged onto the official Gears of War forum to dispel the rumors - it isn't true. Instead, Game|Life reports EB and GameStop stores will be hosting "Gears of War preview parties" on October 21, with limited space available. Don't you love it when ...

Music matters Elite Beat Agents is the best little DS game you don't know much about - a rhythm game from the creators of Gitaroo Man Lives! on the PSP, as well as cult import phenomenon Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (a game Elite Beat Agents resembles a great deal, though it's definitely not the same game) The game looks, in our opinion, quite boss. The biggest EBA fan in the world, though, is this dude called Chris Kohler. Good thing he runs a blog - because Nintendo has given him the track listing ...

Bully 1, bully 0 As much as we hate to legitimize raving lunatic Jack Thompson by talking up his bizarre adventures in jurisprudence, we have to smile when things like this happen. His battle to stop Florida stores from being able to sell Rockstar's Bully... didn't end so well, for him. As Destructoid reported before the trial even ended - he failed. The presiding judge was led on a two-hour tour of the game by Rockstar and deemed it fit for sale. As Game|Life's Chris Kohler observed, though, ...

As for today, we've got a splash of new screens and a sweet intro movie. PSP News | Gunpey Rebirth
Friday 13 October 2006 Fresh from the house of Lumines comes another slice of light-and-sound action for PSP - puzzle game Gunpey Rebirth. And while you need to see it in motion for the full effect, check the images tab for more still screens and you'll get the idea. Do it again (Some of) you did it two days ago for the PS3. Now, it's your chance to do it again for the Wii. Tomorrow morning, GameStop stores will open up preorders for Nintendo's system. While interest in it seems at least as high as for the PS3, there are likely to be many more units on store shelves this fall... so it's less pressing to get in the damn line. Still, if you live in the U.S. and you want one locked down, tomorrow is the day to head to EB Games or GameStop and get it done. ...
