PSP News from N4G | LocoRoco 2
PSP - LocoRoco 2 - 1UP: LocoRoco 2 Confirmed, Detailed 1UP's Kevin Gifford writes "Nobody can deny the cuter qualities of the LocoRoco. The simplistic yet uniquely addictive PSP game was a breath of fresh air when it was released in 2006 -- easy to come to grips with, fun to look at, and downright charming once you broke out the headphones and learned all the neat little songs the Locos sung for you. Two years on, and the music is still stuck in the heads of thousands worldwide.

Rumors about LocoRoco 2 have been buzzing around for over a year now (former Sony vice president Phil Harrison inadvertently confirmed it when he mentioned how he was playing "LocoRoco's next version" at the 2007 DICE event), but now we've got official confirmation: the Locos are heading back to the PSP, and it's going to be as cute as ever. As before, you use the L, R, and Circle buttons to help the strangely cute LocoRoco across a dangerous planetary landscape, with the merry blobs singing and generally having a good time along the way."

PSP News | LocoRoco 2
Sony Worldwide Studios president Phil Harrison has confirmed that a sequel to last year's blob-rolling PSP adventure LocoRoco is currently in the works. Fielding questions at the D.I.C.E. summit in Las Vegas yesterday, Harrison said that he was "recently playing LocoRoco's next version," in response to a question asking what he was doing recently. No more than that was said on the LocoRoco sequel, leaving gameplay details and the target platform up in the air. After the rubber duck ...

PSP News | LocoRoco 2
Sony's own Phil Harrison has promised LocoRoco will return, despite the PSP-only blob-'em-up being not quite the DS defeating smash hit the company was hoping for. During his interview with MTV News, the boss of Sony's worldwide studios first called the title "a very successful game for us," then went on to say that Sony is "going to bring LocoRoco back in a couple of new ways with some new friends in the future." Now to us, that already sounds like there are plans afoot to expand the ever ...

PSP News | Lord of the Rings Tactics
The quest, the trilogy and the marketing hype may finally be over but JRR just keeps on Tolkien with the announcement of PSP title Lord of the Rings Tactics. We've managed to get our hands on the Sony-only handheld game already and found that with its legions of battles it felt much like Square's , but with a WiFi multiplayer element. It also offers you the chance to play on the side of good, with the friendly Fellowship, or to edge towards the dark side and take command of Sauron's orc and ...

PSP News | Lost: Via Domus
Originally announced in a press release back in May 2006 for PC and next-gen consoles, the game tie-in to cult TV show Lost has been mysteriously enigmatic since with not a single screenshot or piece of game information being released. In fact, we'd probably have forgotten about it almost entirely had Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot not mentioned it was still very much in development to a room full of journalists at a press conference last month. Strange then, that Lost is absent from Ubisoft's ...

PSP News | Lost: Via Domus
It's official: the unbridled success of prime-time TV show Lost is slated to spread to consoles, handhelds, and Windows in 2007. No longer will we only be able to interact with the bizarre tribulations of our favorite mysterious island-dwellers (sorry, Survivor) by muddling about the Lost websites. Attempting to capture the multifaceted, character-driven plot of the television show, developer Ubisoft Montreal is looking forward to the challenging task of adapting it to the video game ...

PSP News from N4G | Lumines
PSP - Lumines - Patched Lumines In The Wild? 0okm is reporting on a rumor that suggests the Japanese "Greatest Hits" versions of Lumines have been patched to require Firmware 3.51.

It's unknown if the actual exploit has been patched, or if Firmware 3.51 was just slapped on the disc. If the latter, it may still be possible to downgrade using this disc.

Until more is known, you might want to stick to the used game bins for Lumines now.
