PSP - FIFA 08 - EA releases PSP and DS FIFA 08 details Due this autumn, the latest version of the FIFA franchise promises all sorts of tweaks, with an emphasis on control.

On PSP, new manual controls give you responsibility for through-passes and crosses, as well as the goalkeeper during one-on-one situations against a striker.

For DS, the level of control is given a more dynamic twist, with use of the stylus made for free kicks (you can run up and strike the ball, curling the shot around the wall and into the goal), penalty kicks (a new Penalty Shoot-Out mode is also included) and saves, as well as defensive duties such as controlling the goalie and commanding the wall.

PSP - FIFA 08 - 5000 ways to make FIFA better than PES FIFPlay is not an official site of EA Sports but that doesn't stop it putting suggestions about FIFA and FIFA Manager to EA's developers. The site has now received over 5000 ideas and suggestions about how to make the next FIFA better than all the rest.

There are a lot of good ideas on there, with most people asking for indoor football and every league and team in the world to be included in the new game.

EA has released the first trailer of FIFA 08, the latest iteration of its best-selling soccer franchise. The teaser shows a player in Barcelona kit, running with the ball over 3D grass before burying a long-range shot. If it is representative of in-game animation on PS3 and 360, it looks as though the game will make use of animation-blending so movement remains smooth under slow-motion conditions. PSP - FIFA 08 - Electronic Arts to buy stake in The9 Electronic Arts Inc. has reached an agreement with The9 Ltd. to buy a 19 percent stake in the Chinese online game operator for about $200 million, a local newspaper said on Saturday.

EA, the world's top video game publisher, and The9 have reached a basic agreement, Shanghai Securities News reported.

A representative from The9 was not immediately available for comment.

Shanghai-based The9 also obtained the exclusive right to run EA's casual game FIFA Online in China at the end of March, the newspaper added.
