David Jaffe's (the bloke that did God of War) PSN multiplayer riot Calling All Cars will soon be available for transfer and play on the PSP, reveals the latest issue of PSP - The Official Guidebook.

Unfortunately no-one at Sony's UK office was available to answer CVG's PSP-related queries, but the official PSP mag says we should expect "comprehensive multiplayer modes in both Ad Hoc and Infrastructure," plus word on a firm release date soon.

Mining the past for hits must be working out well for Capcom lately, as the publisher has announced plans for a third collection. Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded will bring 15 old arcade games to the PSP, some of which were featured on the earlier Capcom Classics Collection for consoles. Capcom's latest PSP release, Puzzle World, is liable to crash it has emerged, owing to a conflict between the new game and the latest PSP firmware, version 3.5/3.51.

While the problem was spotted and acknowledged over a month ago - and reported on Capcom's news blog - it turns out that the publisher didn't think to fix the problem for the game's PAL release, with the bug included in the game released last week.

The compilation collection is in the main uninhibited by this bug, but it looks like Super Puzzle Fighter II is significantly hindered by the glitch, reports suggesting the game freezes a couple of minutes into play.

"We are aware of this issue, and are working with Sony on possible fixes as quickly as we can," reads the report on the Capcom blog - though it seems a fix couldn't be mustered in time for the PAL release, despite the delay.

It looks like PSP owners who recently upgraded to Firmware 3.5 are experiencing crashes while playing Capcom Puzzle World. This isn't the first time a firmware update has affected compatibility - firmware 3.01 fixed game performance in Jeanne d'Arc, and the firmware 3.02 update patched up PaRappa the Rapper's downloadable content issues. Capcom had this to say about the reports:

"This issue appears to be similar to the same issues that we experienced previously with PSP firmware versions 3.3 and earlier, which was fixed with firmware version 3.4.

We are aware of this issue, and are working with Sony on possible fixes as quickly as we can."

PSP Firmware 3.51 soon? Probably.
