Before seeing last night's Killzone 2 showcase I said that it couldn't afford to fail. It didn't. In a screening room behind Sushi Roku in Santa Monica the men from Guerilla played through the entire third level of the game - set, as predicted yesterday, on Helghan, the rain lashed slum world of the evil Helghast. What we saw was a hugely impressive showcase of both the raw power and future potential of the PS3 hardware.

So there we were, lounging in the bar of our hotel in Santa Monica, sipping daiquiris and enjoying the live musical noodlings of the Cross Heart Jazz Experience when David Silverman, the director of The Simpsons Movie, strolls in with a honking great tuba slung over his shoulder and joins the band for a head-nodding, chin-stroking jazzmatazz of sweet, sweet ear sex. Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick has said that the firm is "evaluating its options" regarding the release of the "adults only" rated Manhunt 2.
"We're determined to bring Manhunt 2 to the consumers for which it was intended, and to do so in a responsible fashion," he stated during a conference call today.
