Two things stand out in the FlatOut series - insane amounts of destruction and the ragdoll minigames, both of which appear to be in full effect on the PSP sequel, FlatOut: Head On.

The FlatOut series will be making its debut on a handheld platform next year when FlatOut: Head On is released exclusively for PSP.
We were all about the rag doll physics-based stunt games in the Xbox version of the game. You had to launch your driver through the windscreen of your car at high speeds to hit a range of wacky targets - what's not to like about that?
These 'rag-doll Olympics' - as they're known among fans - will also be featured in full in the portable version.

When Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions hits the PSP next week, it'll bring one of the greatest strategy-RPGs of the PSone era to Sony's handheld. It'll also bring a large cast of complex, semi-identical characters along for the ride; to get you acquainted (or re-acquainted, if you've already played the original), publisher Square-Enix has given us bios for some of the story's key figures - as well as for its new, PSP-only additions. We'll start with a few of the game's

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is only a few weeks away, and unlike some PSP remakes, this one packs in plenty of surprises for those who played the original on PSone. One of these is Balthier, the gun-wielding sky pirate from Final Fantasy XII, who's just waiting for you to find him and add his dashing wiles to your ranks. You'll need to ferret him out first, naturally enough, and that takes a little footwork on your part. Luckily, we can tell you exactly how to

Once more, you'll be able to play tinkerman with the England line up, or guide your favourite football club to victory from the comfort of a toilet seat. Yes, Football Manager 2008 is heading to PSP this Christmas. Which means we trot out our usual array of Association Football cliches.
Here goes... It's a marathon, not a sprint this season, which means you'll need your new reserve squad, a fresh feature for PSP. It's a game of two halves, too, but now that the PSP edition has a
If you never see the point of buying every yearly update of EA's sports titles, EA's about to give you one: from September 1 it will begin shutting down the online servers for most of its 2006-edition sports titles.
As of that date, the online gameplay options on games like FIFA World Cup 2006, NBA Live 06, Madden 06 and Tiger Woods 06 will be rendered useless on all formats including PC.
This means you'll have to purchase the newer editions of the games to continue the fight via the web, or
We've had a few Ford racing games over the past few years, but the series has now gone completely off the road. In a good way, that is. The tentatively-titled Ford Off Road will feature 24 tracks over three environments - forest, desert and mountain - and offer 12 different race modes. You'll be driving officially licensed Ford rally vehicles, SUVs and Land Rover off road vehicles. You know, the ones that work in mud.
Apparently, the game will finally let the vehicles collect dirt and grime -
EA has released the first trailer of FIFA 08, the latest iteration of its best-selling soccer franchise. The teaser shows a player in Barcelona kit, running with the ball over 3D grass before burying a long-range shot. If it is representative of in-game animation on PS3 and 360, it looks as though the game will make use of animation-blending so movement remains smooth under slow-motion conditions. Definitely a good thing.
Of course, it is only a teaser, so it's too early to say anything
Every year, FIFA starts boasting about the new tricks up its sleeve. But how many of them actually stick around for the next installment? GamesRadar takes a look back at some 15 years of FIFA and the amazing new features it's introduced. And then forgotten about.
FIFA International Soccer
The original FIFA introduced stunning graphics to the genre. We remember one journalist at the time saying "it looks like Match of the Day." Well... we must all have been more easily impressed back then. But
