When developer/publisher Atlus finally announced a US release date for the PSP version of the third game, cleverly titled Persona 3 Portable or P3P, we were elated that we could play the game again and finally do something with our dormant PSPs (though they make fine paperweights). Continuing the lead-up to the July 6 release, Atlus has this new trailer detailing some of the new features of the game, including a playable female main character. Though not mentioned, we’re assuming you’ll still be shooting yourself in the head to call out your Persona, and so as long as that’s unchanged we’re in...

The block-tacular Cloud costume pictured below is pretty awesome, isn’t it? We love the pointy locks of hair, the fingerless hands, and the pixelated eyebrows. Plus, it’s totally handmade, which makes it about a million times cooler than some of the expensive pre-made Cloud costumes available on online cosplay shops...

Probably not, but Birth By Sleep has a release date, a new trailer and a Limited Edition PSP bundle on the way. Head inside for revealing screengrabs….

You probably know about Resident Evil: Afterlife. It's a new Resident Evil movie directed by Paul WS Anderson and starring Mila Jovovovich. There was a proper trailer released for it a little while ago. But this trailer is way funnier than the proper one.

Not too long ago we saw some upcoming PSP titles, including the next entry in the Hot Shots series, Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip. Not only did it have the great, casual sports feel that might fill the Mario Tennis-shaped void in the market, but it takes advantage of the PSP’s four player online functions.  It also seemed to have deep character customization and skill ranking systems too, but the most surprising addition was a playable appearance by the faceless Fascists of the Killzone series, the Helghast...

A man's cat doesn't like it when he plays on his Nintendo. Here's a video capturing the cat in action. Do you know a cat that has an irrational hatred for video games? Tell us about it. Go on.

Last month we gave away a pair of will call tickets to Video Games Live, June 17th at the Nokia Theater in LA. Now we have three more pairs for you, which we'll be giving out over the next few weeks via Twitter. Details inside!

First, we found out that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker would carry ridiculous amounts of product placement - strange, for a title set during the '70s, but not out of the ordinary for the series. Then came the announcement that the game would be available with a camouflaged, Peace Walker-branded PSP, which made a sort of sense. Today, however, Sony slapped us upside the head with the announcement of a limited-edition, Peace Walker-branded W-Series Walkman, and now we don't know what to think.

Above: Metal... Gear?

To be fair, the Walkman - due out in June - seems like a pretty solid deal for Metal Gear fans. Hit the jump for more images and details.

New episode of the rather lovely PlayStation dedicated HD show is ready for UK PS3 owners to download now. Highlights include Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Lost Planet 2. More information via a FirstPlay Episode 6 trailer inside.

When people ask what your favorite kind of videogame is, do you say "books?" Did you like playing God of War, but wished you could have learned more about what thoughts boiled ephemeral behind Kratos' mighty alabaster thews as he rent asunder the putrescent hordes of the underworld? Then you're going to love the shit out of the God of War novelization (by Matthew Stover and Robert E. Vardeman), due out May 25.

In advance of the book's publication, publisher Del Rey has released the large-print prologue and first chapter online, and it sports some of the most hilariously overwrought prose we've read since that second sentence up there.
