As we've previously reported, the gunslinging, blood-soaked Wild West shooter Gun Showdown will pack in plenty of extras for PSP owners when it hits next month, including a saddlebag full of new story missions that were cut from the console edition.
Hit the Movies tab above and you can get an early glimpse at four of the new adventures that'll pad out the narrative, including a bank heist, a fight against a wildfire and a manhunt for the heretofore unheard-of Kragen Gang. We've also got new
The Sims 2: Pets is the newest addition to the Sims family, but it isn't just an irresistible add-on to your Sims' mansion. Just like in real life, these four-legged friends promise to add unpredictable entertainment to your Sims universe.
These new Sims 2: Pets images show the amount of customization and variety you'll find in Pets. Your furry friends will come in a wide range of both dog and cat breeds, in addition to chatty birds, not-so-chatty fish and cuddly Guinea Pigs. And just like
According to industry site GamesIndustry.biz, Electronic Arts believes that Nintendo will release the Wii for $170 - much cheaper than the $250 price bandied around by internet pundits. Executive VP and COO of EA's worldwide studios, David Gardner says, "I've heard in Japan that the price is about $170, but I don't know if the price has been set in Europe yet." That's pretty unbelievably cheap - it's only $40 more than a DS Lite, little more than half the price of a crappy hard-drive

Star Wars: Lethal Alliance has been announced - an action game due for a December release for PSP and DS that will be the first original Star Wars game produced for the handhelds.
The title, Lethal Alliance, refers to the partnership of Twi'lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zeeo, the two heroes in the game that are hired by the Rebel Alliance to infiltrate Imperial-controlled planets and attempt to steal the plans for the Death
Got a few copper for a special lady?
There are lots of guys playing World of Warcraft. Lots of lonely guys. That's what we imagine is the thought process behind whoever created Whores of Warcraft - and posted up a picture of two feisty cosplayers along with a "Coming Soon" message. We're not too impressed by the name, though - we prefer World of Whorecraft. Wouldn't you just know that it's already taken, too? Rather than sexy imagery, it just barfs up a generic text-only page, with categories
When we first saw Sonic Rivals, it looked like the game was going to center entirely on a footrace between Sonic the Hedgehog and his nemesis Shadow as they plowed through the cliffs and loops that make up Sonic's world. Then just this week, a new batch of screens revealed that a third character will join the fray - the telekinetic Silver from the upcoming next-gen Sonic the Hedgehog.
Of course, it'd be hard to swallow a game called Sonic Rivals without Sonic's original rival, and so Knuckles
Today, two totally different bits of news about horror-FPS F.E.A.R. hit our inbox. It's not too hard to decide which is more interesting: it depends entirely on which platform you game on. For PC gamers, the multiplayer F.E.A.R. Combat pack adds - free of charge - scads of new content to the game: 10 modes, 22 maps, 12 weapons... it's pretty nuts. But if you're gunning for a PlayStation 3, it turns out the game will release on (or near) the system's launch date of November 17. So
High-heeled, orange-skinned Star Wars action is coming to handhelds this December courtesy of Ubisoft, the publisher announced today. Developed exclusively for the PSP and DS, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance will center on the adventures of acrobatic Rebel spy Rianna Saren and her floating droid, Zeeo. The two will constantly work as a collaborative team, with players controlling both - although we don't yet know whether you'll switch between them on the fly or just pick one and issue orders to the
2011: A Place Odyssey
Why, oh why aren't we industry analysts instead of underpaid website editors? According to our companion site NextGen, the brilliant minds over at Boston's gifted think tank Yankee Group have predicted that the PlayStation 3 will hoist the victory flag in this generation's console war, edging the Xbox 360 and soundly trouncing third-place Wii - by 2011.
Granted, the prediction itself isn't even a little brilliant - it reads suspiciously like exactly what happened this

'Street culture' is getting squished down into tons of microgames in Hot PXL, due for a PSP release in November. Have a look at this new trailer (click the movies tab above) to see just how it works.
Hot PXL's compilation of microgames is themed around today's street culture of DJing, breakdancing and buying trainers, and comes across as a sort of hip Wario Ware.
The final package will have over 200 games, 10 bosses, two-player mode and an original soundtrack from our
