Siliconera: Mondo Grosso's music hasn't made its way into future releases, but maybe, just maybe, it will sneak into Lumines Supernova. Q Entertainment is working on a Classic Pack which contains 20 skins from the PSP game. A song list, date, and price have not been announced. Check the screenshots at Famitsu and see if you can identify any of the skins. Strangely enough, at one time Lumines II had more music from Mondo Grosso and a song from Korean pop artist BoA. Of course, that version was never released in North America or Japan.

Lumines II is coming on the new release date November 7th and will feature more than 100 all-new puzzles! Check out the new wallpapers too. If you're not familiar with Lumines, the gameplay goes like this: With 2X2 blocks dropping from the top of the screen, you have to move and rotate them to create same-color squares, eliminating as many of them as you can in the process.

Gamestop is currently pricing Every Extend Extra and Lumines II for the PSP at $29.99. This is great news for PSP gamers to have two more-than-likely solid games be priced relatively sanely.
When Lumines II arrives on the PSP in November, it won't just improve on the experience of the rhythmic falling-block puzzler Lumines. It'll bring something to the table that no other handheld game has: actual music videos playing in the background during gameplay.
As of press time, the list of confirmed (and potentially distracting) videos includes:
"Black Tambourine" (Beck)
"Pump It" (Black Eyed Peas)
"Star Guitar" (Chemical Brothers)
"Gangster Trippin" (Fatboy Slim)

PSP puzzler Lumines II could be getting a PlayStation 3 edition, according to the game's creator, Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
Speaking at this week's Develop Conference in Brighton, England, Mizuguchi said that the development team "will be making announcements about the artists and music that we will be working with... I am also very interested in the network situation with PS3".
While this can't be called an official confirmation, it does seem as though Mizuguchi has some definite plans for Lumines

Buena Vista Games has released a trailer of Lumines II, the sequel to the popular PSP puzzle game which will be out this autumn.
The sequel will have the same block arranging format as the original as gamers control squares made of up four smaller coloured blocks. The aim of the game is to arrange these to form same-colour squares which will be wiped away by the timeline that sweeps across the screen. Simple.

Puzzle-game fans should prepare to make some tough decisions this fall. Buena Vista Games today announced an agreement with Q Entertainment - makers of Lumines and Meteos - to bring no fewer than four new games to the US and Europe. Set to rock the PSP, PlayStation 2 and DS are Lumines II, Lumines Plus, Every Extend Extra and Meteos: Disney Edition.
Given that rhythmic block-dropper Lumines (reviewed here) is still one of the PSP's best-selling titles, it's no shocker that Lumines II topped
