Even with LocoRoco 2 now available for everyone at stores, the PlayStation Blog wanted to make sure you knew about all the great fun things you still have access to!
With all the talk last year about LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy being the PlayStation 3's 'mascot,' nobody really thought about the PS3's poor younger sibling -- the PSP. It's been around much longer than the PS3 but has had an even harder time finding a standout character, unique to the system, that provides a sort of summation of the device's strengths and appeal. Well it looks like Sony might finally be prepping the darling LocoRocos to become the Pokemon of their handheld.

The simplistic yet uniquely addictive PSP game was a breath of fresh air when it was released in 2006 -- easy to come to grips with, fun to look at, and downright charming once you broke out the headphones and learned all the neat little songs the Locos sung for you. Two years on, and the music is still stuck in the heads of thousands worldwide.
MCV asked the Sony product manager which titles retailers should be watching out for the rest of the year:
It's time to roll out! New reports have come in for the sequel to that that quirky-cute game, LocoRoco. Although this info hasn't been confirmed by Sony yet, it's still something all us can chew on while you wait for official details.
