Following the revelation of the PSP Essentials range and the two new additions to the PlayStation 3 Platinum range last week, a number of new titles have been confirmed for a re-release as part of the Platinum range on PlayStation Portable (PSP). The Platinum range consists of games which have seen significant popularity re-branded and offered at a greatly reduced price.

With all the talk last year about LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy being the PlayStation 3's 'mascot,' nobody really thought about the PS3's poor younger sibling -- the PSP. It's been around much longer than the PS3 but has had an even harder time finding a standout character, unique to the system, that provides a sort of summation of the device's strengths and appeal. Well it looks like Sony might finally be prepping the darling LocoRocos to become the Pokemon of their handheld.

Pocket Gamer has picked up on exclusive information that Glu is currently localizing the hit PSP game, LocoRoco, for the European mobile market. Titled LocoRoco Hi, Pocket Gamer has more details and screenshots on the biggest new mobile announcement this year.
