Level 5 is expanding beyond their headquarters in Fukuoka. The Professor Layton and Inazuma Eleven developer opened a new office in Tokyo. This office specializes in mobile projects such as ROID, new enterprises, and overseas business. Sounds like Level 5 is gearing up to distribute their intellectual properties worldwide.

Play-mag: As Level-5's PS3 exclusive White Knight Chronicles makes a sturdy, if inconsequential effect on the Japanese software charts, I started wondering about what happened to Level-5's PSP tactical RPG, Jeanne D'Arc, in the UK. I picked it up at an import shop but didn't realise, at the time, that it never found its way to these shores.

Jeanne d'Arc, Dark Resurrection rally up for The Best in Japan. Joining the queue of Japan's monthly The Best line-up are two PSP games that we're not surprised to find up there: Tekken: Dark Resurrection and Jeanne d'Arc. While we're not surprised to see Tekken in the list, what's cool to note here is that Level 5's Jeanne d'Arc hasn't even been released in North America yet, and it seems to have gotten some good reception in Japan already...

Jeanne d'Arc's beautiful cel-shaded graphics, its plot based around escaped demons, and its complex turn-based tactical battle system are coming together to form what could potentially be one of the most intriguing PSP games of the year.
