Sony Europe has begun a new wave of advertisements in the UK, which specifically mention the PS3 or PlayStation formats only.
A brand new PlayStation Portable (PSP) hardware bundle has arrived on European shop shelves this week, seemingly unawares to most. Following the recent release of a Monster Hunter Freedom Unite PSP hardware bundle, Electronic Arts' Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the latest title to get the repackaging treatment.
This is the very first time you'll see the official Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince Videogame Launch trailer world-wide. The game is released on the 3rd of July on Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Windows PC and various mobile devices.
StalkingSilence of PlayStation LifeStyle writes:
For the first time in a Harry Potter videogame, it's possible to read the emotion in characters' faces as they talk, thanks to the advanced facial animation system that was used during development. Many of the film's actors provided their voices for the game, and the development team at EA had access to photos and body scans of all the characters, so every raised eyebrow and fluttering cloak is accurately portrayed in the game.
Ve3tro writes: "The Harry Potter and the Half-Blood game is the place for fans to live the thrills, action and excitement of Harry Potter when it launches June 30th worldwide."
EA's just confirmed that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be delayed until next summer. The game will ship alongside the movie of the book, instead of releasing this winter.
WorthPlaying writes: "Warner Bros. decided to push the movie release from late 2008 to July 2009, so we asked EA about whether the game would also suffer a delay. Various sources claimed they were surprised by the news, while the producer said the announcement came at an inopportune time, indicating the game would also have to be pushed due to overlapping story lines outside of the already-released book."
EA Casual Entertainment Label and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will be released later this year to coincide with the film based on J.K. Rowling's sixth Harry Potter book.
