It’s a bit like a cross between Ghostbusters and Pokemon, and it works brilliantly. The camera capture is extremely well handled, and the various ways of capturing the creatures, such as slapping or tickling them, keeps things fresh.

The presentation is neat and the training games seem MENSA test traditional as opposed to the wacky intellect boosters that emerge from Japan. Even so, put it on the bandwagon because it doesn’t bring anything new to the table.

Napoleon Dynamite: The Game

The film may have rocked, but the game is a collection of horrible, half-baked mini-games. Which is more of a terrible, acid jazz played by hamsters kind of thing.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame

Indy was about paying homage; Batman is about embracing the dizzying, if essentially silly scope of his universe. Sure, it may not revolutionize the LEGO formula, but if this is the price to see Batman finally done some virtual justice, then so be it.
