FIFA Street 2

EA sends its latest footie favourite over to the handheld

Something else that isn't 'on' (or rather 'in') is a replay mode. So even if you do string together a fluid passing move before finishing it off with a Gamebreaker power shot, you won't be able to view it again.

For all its faults, FIFA Street 2 does deliver a warm sense of self-satisfaction when things go right. But it doesn't happen often. You're constantly struggling to get to grips with the fractious gameplay as your players awkwardly run to loose ball.

And you'll be left wondering what you did differently to normal when you do score a glut of goals. Like when we were tanked 5-1 and had a million shots, only to play again, against the same team with the same tactics and win 5-0.

FIFA Street 2 is like real football because of the spherical bits of leather the players kick around - but that's where the similarities end.

You'll love
  • A soundtrack actually worth listening to
  • Rule the Street is worth hours of time
  • Player creation is good fun
You'll hate
  • Tricks are integral, but don't work well
  • Gameplay is extremely laggy
  • The mini-games offer nothing
