Some received rave reviews, but sold next to nothing. Others sold well, but received almost no attention or love from the hardcore audience. Some you’ve heard about. Nobody is going to want to swap heads with Fred, so fans of gore and macabre humour will be happy to know, our Fred is content to steal heads by yanking them off the shoulders of enemies. There are eight different craniums which you can switch between at will, each granting unique abilities once worn to better deal with certain enemy types, objects and solve puzzles.

Months before the 2007 Electronic Entertainment Expo, Sony Computer Entertainment of America flew a small army of journalists down to its headquarters in San Diego for its Gamer's Day, a pre-E3 sneak peek at games set to arrive on its PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PSP platforms. Featuring dozens of games from Sony and third-party publishers, several of which were unveiled and/or made playable for the first time, the event was a staggering look at a swarm ...
Even by the bizarre standards of videogames, Fred Neuman is an unconventional hero. An undead, amnesiac private eye, Fred's out to solve the mystery of why someone murdered him and replaced his head with a brain floating in a jar. His hometown can best be described as a 1950s-era toxic-dump nightmare, which might explain his ability to rip zombies apart with his bare hands. He raises radioactive worms as a hobby, and then feeds them to mutant chickens that he enters in cockfights. Weirdest of ...
Of all the weird games we saw at E3 this year, few of them were as flat-out bizarre as Dead Head Fred. Offering up a cartoonishly grim take on brawling and film noir, it tells the story of Fred, a detective who runs afoul of a local crime boss and winds up headless. Luckily for Fred, a kindly mad scientist finds his corpse and reanimates him as a jarheaded monstrosity, able to steal and use his enemies' heads as he tries to track down his memory.

It's a gruesome, darkly funny premise, and Dead ...
D3Publisher today announced Dead Head Fred, an action game for the PSP due out early next year. The title - which, amazingly enough, has nothing to do with hippies - will be on display at E3 next week, and will showcase the first hero to not only sever the noggins of his enemies, but to use them to grant himself new abilities.

Taking place in a film-noir alternate universe, Dead Head Fred puts players in control of Fred Neuman, a private eye who gets murdered and then resurrected as a headless ...
