Quantcast

Daxter

This game, quite literally, doesn't need Jak

But without question, Daxter is great. It takes some of the Jak formula and shrinks it down to delicious PSP bites. It even adds an entertaining, Pokémon-inspired rock-paper-scissors minigame called Bug Combat, which can be played wirelessly with a friend. More than that, it looks almost as good as its PS2 siblings and has full voice acting for all the characters, all without the excruciatingly long loading that seems to plague most other PSP games on the market.

You'll love
  • The platform-hopping is top-notch
  • Load times are well-hidden
  • The characters burst with personality
You'll hate
  • Story could be more captivating
  • Dream minigames are uninspired
  • Uncooperative camera

I love this game! Even though I have only played Jak 3. But I HATED when you need to walk LONG ways to get your stupid motor bike. And after playing for like 2-6 hours, Then it gets repetitive.
