In attempt to shake up the puzzle genre on the PSP, Sega and Koju Entertainment are releasing Crush this summer.

The story begins with Dan. Dan’s life is filled with unsettled problems while he is also plagued with the inability to emotionally express himself. The result of this tumultuous life has lead Dan to become nervous insomniac desperate for a way out. Dan turns to hypnosis as an answer. Within the deep slumber of hypnosis, Dan is given the chance solve the unresolved issues of his past.

Depressing protagonist aside, the game is based on the idea that you navigate a 3-D world solving puzzles “crushing” the environment into a 2-D one. Cool.

The whole “crushing” idea is sparking our curiosity. We can’t wait to get our hands on Crush and see if the actual game is as good it sounds to be. In the meantime, take a look at more screens under the Images tab.
