SEGAbits: Crush is one of the most underrated SEGA published games this generation. It was released on the PSP and received no hype, which is too bad. It is a great game that EVERYONE should play. It seems that SEGA will give the franchise another chance on the 3DS.

At yesterday's Experimental Game Design lecture, Alex Butterfield discussed his latest project, the mind-bending PSP title Crush, billed as a revolution twist on the puzzle platform. Butterfield's presentation focus on the challenges of making a game that seemingly transitions from 2D to 3D without effort. Crush is designed so that your character, who is under hypnosis to cure insomnia and forced to find a way through 40 dream sequence levels, can only crush (transform 3-dimensional space into 2-dimensional platformer) horizontally and top-down.

In attempt to shake up the puzzle genre on the PSP, Sega and Koju Entertainment are releasing Crush this summer. The story begins with Dan. Dans life is filled with unsettled problems while he is also plagued with the inability to emotionally express himself. The result of this tumultuous life has lead Dan to become nervous insomniac desperate for a way out. Dan turns to hypnosis as an answer.
